New AFM-EPF Educational Webinar Series for Union Locals and Participants

The American Federation of Musicians and Employers’ Pension Fund (AFM-EPF) is pleased to announce an expansion of our educational resources designed to help Union Locals and Participants better understand the Pension Plan’s benefits and resources. Beginning this September, we will be offering new webinars, crafted for Plan Participants and Union Locals. They will provide clear information, encourage greater engagement with Fund resources, answer common questions, and support informed retirement planning for Participants. The webinars will also help attendees better understand the retirement income provided by a defined benefit pension plan and how it differs from a 401(k)-style retirement program.

Union Local Webinars

The AFM-EPF will host monthly 60-minute virtual webinars designed for AFM representatives. These sessions are intended to help Union Local leaders and staff strengthen their understanding of the Pension Plan so they can serve as informed resources for Participants. The webinars will cover some key Pension Plan provisions, available Participant resources, and important processes related to employer contributions, agreement processing, remittances, and audits. Each webinar will include a live Q&A.

Participant Webinars

The AFM-EPF will also offer bi-monthly 60-minute virtual webinars for Plan Participants. These sessions will explain how the Pension Plan works, provide an overview of some key Plan provisions and benefits, and review Plan resources. Sessions are open to all and will include an opportunity for interactive questions and answers.
