Negotiations Underway with Dallas Theater Center

Negotiations are underway with the Dallas Theater Center for a successor agreement, with the previous agreement having expired in September of 2023 and the next planned production of a musical of The Little Mermaid is planned for the summer of 2024.

Since the late 2000s, Local 72-147 musicians have performed under union contracts establishing the wages, fringe benefits and working conditions for pit musicians in the theatrical musical productions presented by the Dallas Theater Center.

Discussions for wages and conditions moving forward began in the fall and are set to continue into the to coming year.
