On Wednesday, January 9, House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal (D-MA) introduced the
Rehabilitation for Multiemployer Pensions Act. This bill presents the same solution to the national multiemployer
pension crisis that was contained within the Butch Lewis Act in its original form. It would provide low-interest
government loans to multiemployer pension funds in “critical and declining” status. These loans would provide enough
money for a multiemployer fund to pay current retirees and beneficiaries their benefits for life
2019 Annual Dues
Local 72-147’s annual membership dues are $135 for 2019, if paid in January. Semi-annual membership dues are $70 if paid in January and July. Payments can be made by mail with a check or money order, or you may come by the Union office. If you wish to make a credit card payment online, go to www.musiciansdfw.org.
Annual membership dues become delinquent if they remain unpaid after January. Semi-annual membership dues become delinquent if they remain unpaid after January or July. A $5 tardy fee is assessed for each delinquent month in which membership dues remain unpaid.
